Dr Frank Sullivan (Chair)
Professor Frank Sullivan MB, MRCPI, FFRRCSI, MSc is a Radiation Oncologist at the Galway Clinic. He also serves as Vice Dean for Strategic Partnerships and Adjunct Professor of Medicine, NUI Galway; Visiting Professor of Radiation Oncology at Hofstra University, New York; He is the Founding Director of the Prostate Cancer Institute (PCI), a constituent research institute of NUI Galway. He is the Deputy Director, Galway Clinical Research Facility. He has been a Board Member of Macnas for the past 2 years.
Emma Hannon
Emma Hannon is a producer, programmer and cultural project manager with over 13 years’ experience delivering high quality, complex multidisciplinary artistic projects in Ireland and the UK. She has held key roles with some of the most noted cultural organisations in Ireland including Science Gallery, Dublin Fringe Festival and The Ark and worked with leading companies such as The Local Group and The Performance Corporation. Currently Head of Studios at Somerset House in London following her position as Director (maternity cover) and Studio Manager from the inception of Somerset House Studios in 2016, Emma joined the Macnas Board following her role as Executive Producer with the company from 2018-2019.
Donagh Morgan
Retired Civil Servant with over 42 years service. 20 years spent in the Department of the Taoiseach. During that time served as Private Secretary to three Taoisigh - Dr. Garret FitzGerald, Charles J. Haughey and Albert Reynolds. Appointed in 2000 as Chief Executive of Campus and Stadium Ireland Development Limited (CSID) and its successor the National Sports Campus Development Authority (NSCDA). Promoted in 2007 to Assistant Secretary in the Department of Arts, Sport & Tourism with responsibility for the Sports brief. Following a change of Government in 2011 continues with the same brief in the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport.
Michelle Ní Chróinín
Michelle Ní Chróinín is Director of Strategy and Planning in the Office of the Deputy President and Registrar, NUI Galway leading University-wide projects related to the delivery of its strategic academic mission. Prior to her appointment to this role, she previously held the position of Institutional Press & Information Officer at NUI Galway. Michelle has over 20 years’ experience in public administration, communications and in corporate governance. She was an elected member of Údarás na hOllscoile/Governing Authority from 2009 – 2013 and was a member of its Committee for Strategic Initiatives and External Affairs. She is currently serving her second term on the Board of TG4 where she served as interim Chair to the Board in 2017. She previously served on its Audit and Finance Committee and is current Chair of its Brand and Marketing Committee. In 2018 she was invited onto the Board of Macnas and is a previous board member of Volunteer Galway. Michelle holds an MA in Business (IMI/UCC), MA in Media Studies (UL), HDip in Arts Administration (NUI Galway), HDip in Public Relations, HDip Applied Project Management (IPM/UCC), and BMus (UCC).
James Seymour
James Seymour was appointed by the Irish Government as County Registrar and Sheriff for the County of Tipperary in 2017. He is also the Returning Officer for the Constituency of Tipperary in general elections and referenda. Prior to his appointment, he was a litigation solicitor with a practice in Dublin and Galway for over twenty years. He is the Chairperson of the County Registrars & Sheriffs Association.
A former President of the Galway Solicitors Association and a graduate of University of Galway, he is also currently the Sheriff for the Counties of Waterford, Limerick & Clare. He was also for a number of years, the Chairperson of the Galway Citizens Information Board, committee member with 100 Men Who Give A Damn and committee member with Shalom Centre for Reconciliation.
Úna Kavanagh
Una Kavanagh is an Irish artist, working across many mediums: sculpture, text, painting, drawing, performance, film, installation, animation, script writing, music composition, performance art and live art durational performances. Her practice ranges from extensive work in theatre, film, television and radio to her artistic collaborations, solo and group exhibitions.
She is a cross disciplinary artist, practising for over 30 years, working in my native Ireland, UK, America, France and the Middle East.
Paul McGowan
Paul McGowan is an entrepreneurial Finance Executive currently Chief Financial Officer at Aerogen.
He is a qualified accountant for over 20 years in US GAAP and IFRS environments with a lean focus and drive for operational excellence. He has supported Operations across the world from start-ups through to footprint rationalisations with a number of acquisitions and integrations along the way.
Mona Considine
Mona Considine is Artistic Director at Backstage Theatre, Longford with responsibility for artistic programming and strategic development of the organisation. Mona is a member of touring venue networks Nomad and Nasc and has been a member of both networks since their establishment in 2005/2006. A former Director on the boards of the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge, Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre and Theatre Forum, Mona served as Chairperson of Theatre Forum from 2013 to 2016. Mona currently is a member of the TYAI (Theatre for Young Audiences Ireland) committee
